OVERVIEW

Retained by Cityzen, Bousfields planned the redevelopment of a block of the Bronte community in Oakville into a new residential community. The project saw the creation of a heritage precinct by retaining an existing heritage building and relocating two other heritage buildings and reusing them for commercial and residential uses. In addition, the precinct plan includes townhouse units and a 10-storey building with retail uses at grade. The proposal introduces a new publicly accessible open space.

Bousfields was responsible for the Planning Rationale and Urban Design Brief, managed the approval of the development applications, and provided evidence in support of the redevelopment to the Ontario Municipal Board. The project has been approved by the Ontario Municipal Board and is currently in the construction stage.
