Urban Designer

Alexus joined Bousfields in April 2018 as an Urban Design Intern while completing a Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree in Planning at the University of Waterloo, specializing in Urban Design. She joined Bousfields as a full-time Urban Designer in June 2019. Prior to joining Bousfields, she worked on numerous master plans, secondary plans and public engagement strategies for municipal, regional and federal government clients while working at another private consulting firm.

Alexus’ responsibilities at Bousfields include preparation of planning and urban design rationales related to proposed developments; conducting planning policy and built form impact analyses; developing urban design guidelines for mixed-use and commercial developments; performing massing analyses, including shadow impact studies; and assisting in the preparation of planning and urban design evidence for OLT and TLAB hearings. She also brings expertise in graphic communication, in terms of the production of illustrative plans, analytical diagrams and presentation drawings.
