Ben joined Bousfields in May 2017, prior to joining the firm, Ben worked for private planning firms in both Toronto and Halifax. He has experience in real estate market research, land use planning and responding to Requests for Proposal for prospective projects.
Ben is involved in a wide range of planning projects in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, including undertaking site-specific policy research, preparing Planning Rationale’s and accompanying reports, assisting in the preparation of evidence for Ontario Municipal Board Hearings, and co-ordinating submissions. Ben graduated in the spring of 2017 from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Community Design, with Honours in both Urban Design and Planning and Sustainability. During his Honours year, Ben conducted an independent research study exploring the influence of policy intervention on high-rise construction in Downtown Halifax.
