Cameron entered the planning field in early 2017 and has worked extensively in the Greater Toronto Area. He has experience in preparing planning rationale reports, urban design briefs, development applications and RFP bid applications. With a background in development planning, he has a strong understanding of official plans and zoning by-laws, along with various other land use control tools. Cameron's understanding of Public-Private Partnerships has enabled him to negotiate staged site plan agreements among other unique development processes for his clients.
Cameron is guided by his belief that planning must be more than policies, it has to be focused on people. He has contributed in this regard to various master planned communities across the Greater Toronto Area through the development of block plans and secondary plans. These projects have allowed Cameron to acquire experience in project managing, consensus building and hosting dynamic public events that incite meaningful and inclusive engagement.
Cameron has worked on a range of development projects in Ontario, with experience in residential, institutional and mixed use developments, and employment conversions. His recent work has included managing and facilitating the redevelopment and expansion of major healthcare facilities as part of Trillium Health Partners’ health hub developments in the City of Toronto and Mississauga.
