
WAIYEE CHOU
Urban Designer
Waiyee is an Urban Designer who has experience working on a range of project types, which include large-scale master plans, urban design guidelines, and detailed site plan design for landscape architectural projects. She previously worked at landscape architecture and urban design offices in Toronto, with project experience across Canada and the UK. She also previously worked within the Urban Design Section of City Planning at the City of Toronto, where she was involved with projects such as the Port Lands Planning Framework and TOcore.
At Bousfields, her responsibilities include conducting built form impact and massing analyses, developing urban design guidelines for large-scale block plans and smaller mixeduse development sites, urban design briefs, shadow studies, visual impact studies, block plans, and preparing materials for OLT hearings.
Waiyee holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies (Design) and Urban Studies, in addition to a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Toronto. During Waiyee’s graduate studies in landscape architecture, she received multiple awards for her work, which include the John E. (Jack) Irving Prize and an Honour Award from the American Society of Landscape Architects. She is a Full Member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects and the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects.
