Big shoutout and thank you to our incredible interns Alley Poon, Myah Sachedina, and Leo Bridgewater wrapped up their internship experiences with us this past week! Here are some key takeaways they noted from their time with us: “My eight-month co-op at Bousfields has been everything I hoped for in a final internship! It’s been such a pleasure getting to know everyone, both on Team Lennox and across the firm, and to be part of an environment that values knowledge-sharing and building connections with one another beyond work. I’m incredibly thankful to everyone who took the time to teach, support, and get to know me throughout my internship. I’ve been able to reach goals I’d been working towards for a long time, and I truly appreciate the experience. I hope to see everyone again in the future!” - Alley Poon “My time at Bousfields has been extremely memorable and has helped me grow not only as an individual, but also as a planner. I am very grateful for the team of planners who taught, coached, and believed in me throughout the past 8 months. Over the past couple of weeks, Bousfielders participated in some fun holiday events organized by our Goodworks and DEI Committees: 1. Last week, Bousfielders who are involved in the redevelopment of 1-7 Yonge Street, were invited to attend the 100th Floor concrete pouring of the Phase 2 landmark building. This is the first 100 storey building in Canada and we are proud to be a part of the applicant’s Team! Photographed is Partner Kate Cooper celebrating with Founder and CEO of Pinnacle International, Mike De Cotiis, on the 100th Floor. The building will rise to 106 storeys in the coming months.

Ramani is part of the glue that binds Bousfields, working on the Operations team since 2019, she has more than 15 years’ experience in finance and accounts management. Ramani oversees the accounting process at Bousfields, along with other members of the Finance team, Ramani manages our internal controls, supporting the annual auditing process and ensuring our staff get paid accurately and on time. When Ramani is not working with numbers, she finds joy in cooking and sharing meals with family and friends!

Jeramine joined Bousfields’ operations team on March 1, 2021 as a Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist. She brings with her strong work experiences from different industries such as technology and oil and gas companies and law firms. With accounting acumen and experience in promoting continuous improvement, she provides important assistance to the operations team and supports partners’ and clients’ needs.

Grace holds a Master’s degree of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University. She is also a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Jessica Nigh joined Bousfields as the Human Resource Manager in 2021. With more than 15 years’ experience working as a human resources professional for small-to mid-size companies, she has a strong background in all areas of Human Resources. Jessica is passionate about people and the place they spend most of their day (work!), aiming to support the needs of the organization and foster the growth of employees at Bousfields on a daily basis. Jessica has led a number of workplace initiatives as it relates to policy development, payroll, recruitment, performance and professional development, employee engagement and training.   Jessica is a graduate of Western University with a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies and a post-grad certificate in Human Resources. She is an active member of the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA) and National Payroll Institute and is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP).
