Agnes is a Senior Planner and CAD Design Coordinator who has managed and coordinated the preparation, design, submission and processing of multiple development projects of all scales through the planning approval process (i.e., Draft Plan of Subdivision and Condominium, Site Plans, Official Plan Amendments and Zoning Bylaw Amendments). With her knowledge of planning policy and regulations, technical design abilities and multi-disciplinary background, Agnes has the ability to manage complex planning processes. As a CAD Design Coordinator, Agnes remains hands-on when it comes to designing projects, while maintaining corporate and project standards for the design group.

Aisha joined Bousfields as a Planner in August 2020. She holds a Masters of Science in Planning, with a specialization in Urban Planning & Development from the University of Toronto. Previously, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Geography & Urban Studies at York University.

Prior to joining Bousfields, Aisha worked at the Regional Municipality of York as an Associate Planner where she assisted with various tasks to advance the Municipal Comprehensive Review. Prior to that, she interned at the City of Brampton as a Policy Planner where she reviewed development applications and contributed to the development of the Affordable Housing Strategy.

Outside of the office, Aisha is passionate about affordable housing, sustainable city building practices and creative place-making, and is a co-founder of the Mentorship Initiative for Indigenous & Planners of Colour (MIIPOC).

He has a broad range of experience in land use planning, development approvals, project management and feasibility analysis and has appeared in front of several municipal Councils and committees.

At Bousfields, Alex is involved in a variety of land use planning matters and development projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area. He is actively involved in the management of various development applications and regularly prepares planning rationale reports and associated studies for application for Official Plan Amendments, Zoning By-law Amendments, Site Plan and Minor Variance approvals.  He is also responsible for preparing materials for senior staff appearing before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) and the Toronto Local Appeal Body (TLAB). Alex is a Full Member of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) and the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP), and is also a Member at Large on the Ryerson University Planning Alumni Association (RPAA).

Alex joined Bousfields in November 2020 as a Project Manager in the Community Engagement Practice. Originally from Vancouver BC, he moved to Toronto in 2018 to shift his career path and learn in a bigger urban playground. Prior to joining Bousfields, Alex worked at Swerhun Inc. as an Engagement Specialist while completing his Master of Planning at Ryerson University.

Since joining Bousfields, he has been involved with creating and managing stakeholder engagement plans and public consultation strategy reports for development applications across the GTA. Experienced in communications and facilitation, Alex diligently works to ensure that the engagement process is specific and meaningful to the needs of every community. Passionate about how communication and planning intersect in everyday life, Alex aims to find innovative and creative ways to ensure that dialogue around urban issues is made more accessible.

Prior to working at Bousfields and completing her Masters degree, Alexis worked in WSP’s Ottawa office as an Environmental Planner.

Since joining Bousfields, Alexis has been involved in a wide range of projects across the GTHA where she assists in the preparation of planning rationale reports, community services and facilities studies, housing issues reports, planning opinion letters and due diligence packages. She has also assisted with the preparation of planning evidence for senior staff appearing before the TLAB and the LPAT.

Alexus joined Bousfields in April 2018 as an Urban Design Intern while completing a Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree in Planning at the University of Waterloo, specializing in Urban Design. She joined Bousfields as a full-time Urban Designer in June 2019. Prior to joining Bousfields, she worked on numerous master plans, secondary plans and public engagement strategies for municipal, regional and federal government clients while working at another private consulting firm.

Alexus’ responsibilities at Bousfields include preparation of planning and urban design rationales related to proposed developments; conducting planning policy and built form impact analyses; developing urban design guidelines for mixed-use and commercial developments; performing massing analyses, including shadow impact studies; and assisting in the preparation of planning and urban design evidence for LPAT and TLAB hearings. She also brings expertise in graphic communication, in terms of the production of illustrative plans, analytical diagrams and presentation drawings.

Caitlin has an extensive range of experience with development proposals throughout Toronto and the GTHA. Since joining Bousfields in 2012, Caitlin has gained a diverse background in land use planning matters in progressively responsible roles. She works with a range of clients to manage complex multi-disciplinary projects and resolve land use issues. She is responsible for the daily coordination of projects and liaises with clients, consultants and municipal staff to finalize deliverables and obtain planning approvals. Caitlin has given expert evidence at the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal and prepared evidence for hearings, expropriation hearings and arbitration hearings. Caitlin has deputed numerous times before Community Councils and the Committee of Adjustment.

Caitlin holds a Master of Science in Regional and Urban Planning Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science, graduating with distinction. She previously earned a Bachelor and Arts and Science degree (with honours) from McMaster University, where she combined with Human Geography. Cale joined Bousfields in May of 2021. He holds a Bachelor’s of Urban and Regional Planning from Ryerson University, with a specialization in urban development. Prior to joining Bousfields, Cale worked at prominent architectural firm serving as their planning and urban development specialist, and at a planning consulting firm involved with development planning. This experience gives him knowledge and a unique perspective on both planning and building design, making him well suited to navigating the approvals process for complex urban sites.

At Bousfields, Cale is involved in multiple projects in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area and assists in the preparation of planning rationale reports and associated studies, conducts site-specific policy research and prepares development application submissions. Cale is currently a Candidate Member of OPPI and CIP, working towards full membership. He is also a member of the ULI and has attended various events for educational and self-development purposes.

Cameron joined Bousfields in October 2011, after completing his Undergraduate Degree in Urban and Regional Planning (BURP) from Ryerson University. Prior to joining the firm, Cameron worked part-time for one year at another planning consulting firm, where he was mainly responsible for subdivision design and the preparation of conceptual site layouts.

His responsibilities at Bousfields involve a combination of both planning and design roles. With regards to planning, his involvement includes zoning and policy research, due diligence, and writing contributions to planning rationales. His design responsibilities include the preparation of subdivision plans, conceptual site layouts, official plan amendment maps, zoning by-law amendment schedules, and various forms of graphics for a wide range of planning documents.

Caroline brings almost 20 years of public and private sector experience working in architecture and urban design. A licensed Architect with a Master’s Degree in Urban Design and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Caroline offers a unique perspective to community building, including residential, commercial and mixed use developments. Her experience in development review at the City of Toronto, combined with her management role for Waterfront Toronto on the Quayside plan, means that Caroline has a unique perspective on development in downtown Toronto, including the waterfront. Caroline has provided her expertise to a wide range of development projects, master plans, precinct plans, secondary plans and urban design studies and guidelines for a variety of scales and locations. Caroline has provided evidence as an expert witness at LPAT.

Charlie first joined Bousfields as an intern in 2017 and was hired full-time in September 2019. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Guelph and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Queen’s University. He has studied abroad in Perth, Australia at the Australian Urban Design Research Centre (AUDRC), focusing specifically on master planning of the Perth CBD.

At Bousfields, Charlie has worked across the GTHA on a variety of projects including large-scale mall redevelopments, infill mid-rise and high-rise buildings as well as complex rental replacements developments. He consistently produces Planning Rationale Reports, Zoning By-law Amendments, conducts site-specific policy research and prepares materials for hearings at the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT). Charlie relies on his strong set of interpersonal skills to collaborate with consultants, City Staff and a broad range of stakeholders to address planning issues.

Charlie is a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) and full time Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP). When not working Charlie can be found exploring the Don Valley on his mountain bike, skiing and finding new restaurants across the City.

Claire first joined Bousfields in 2015 as a Planning Intern during her co-op semester at Ryerson University. Upon graduating from Ryerson University with a Master’s degree in urban and regional planning, she returned to Bousfields in 2016 as a Planner. Prior to pursuing graduate studies, Claire earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph with a concentration in Geography and a minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Environmental Analysis.

Assisting in the preparation of planning and urban design rationales in addition to avenue segment studies related to proposed developments, urban design guidelines, urban design briefs; and land use planning and urban design evidence for Ontario Municipal Board hearings.

Prior to joining Bousfields Inc. in January 2015, David was a Planner with the City of Hamilton for ten years, where he developed his expertise in planning and community design associated with development approvals, policy initiatives and planning studies. David has been involved in the design and approval of various projects including secondary plans, master plans, large-scale shopping centre redevelopments, draft plan of subdivisions, residential and mixed-use developments, and residential infill.

David joined Bousfields Inc. in 2004 as a full-time planner and became a partner in 2015.  Specializing in land use planning matters, he has been involved in a number of intensification and infill projects, as well as greenfield projects, throughout Toronto and the GTA.  These projects include residential, commercial, office, institutional and mixed-use developments.

Gabriela is a Graphic Designer from Vancouver BC, with a focus on Brand and Identity design. Her design education began at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) as a 2013 graduate with an Associate Certificate of Design (Distinction). Inspired to learn more, Gabriela continued her education, with earning a diploma from the Visual College of Art & Design (VCAD) in 2015, where she presented her work in the VCAD Portfolio Show held at the Harbour Centre in Vancouver, BC.

Hailey joined Bousfields in 2021 as a Planner. She is a Registered Professional Planner and holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies with Honours from the University of Waterloo. Through Waterloo’s co-op program, Hailey worked as Student Planner at the City of St. Catharines and at the Ministry of Transportation as an Assistant Environmental Planner.

Prior to joining Bousfields, Hailey worked as an Environmental Planner at IBI Group. In this role, Hailey worked on Environmental Assessments for large-scale transit and transportation projects including the London Bus Rapid Transit and Durham-Scarborough Bus Rapid Transit projects, and other subway and road improvement projects. Kate has over fourteen years of experience in land use planning, joining Bousfields Inc. in 2006 as a full-time planner and becoming a partner in 2015.  Specializing in land use planning matters, she has been involved in a number of intensification and infill projects, as well as large-scale subdivision and greenfield projects, throughout the City of Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. These projects range from small-scale residential and mixed-use developments to large, multi-unit developments with varying degrees of complexity, as well as commercial, office and institutional developments.

Kate has been involved in various community and city-building projects, many at the project management level, and has extensive experience in obtaining development approvals including Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments, Site Plan Approval, Plans of Subdivision and Condominium and Consent and Minor Variances.  She has also been responsible for undertaking due diligence studies, highest and best use/optimal use studies, providing strategic advice and planning opinion letters, and site selection and development feasibility. Mojgan Rasouli joined Bousfields in January 2019 as a planner. Prior to joining the firm, she worked on numerous development projects at private planning and engineering firms, where she gained extensive experience in a variety of planning and development applications, including residential infill developments, low-rise townhouse developments and plans of subdivision particularly within the Region of Durham.

Since joining Bousfields, Mojgan is involved in a wide range of projects throughout Toronto and GTA. She assists in the preparation of due diligence reports, site-specific policy research, planning rationale reports and associated studies, draft zoning by-laws and coordination of development applications, including Official Plan Amendments, Zoning By-Law Amendments, minor variance/consents and draft plans of subdivision.

Mona joined Bousfields in May 2021 as a Planner. Mona holds a Bachelor of Community Design and Planning (Honours Urban Design and Planning) from Dalhousie University and a Master of Science in Infrastructure Planning, Appraisal and Development from the Bartlett School of Planning at University College London (UCL). Mona delivered, and continues to deliver, guest lectures on various topics at UCL, such as promoting participatory practices in planning and delivering infrastructure projects.

Prior to pursuing her Master of Science at UCL, Mona worked in the private sector as a Land Use Planner at another consulting firm in Toronto. In that role, she worked on a variety of mixed-use, residential, commercial and industrial projects. Mona also brings international development experience. Previously, she worked as a Planner at a consulting firm in Amman, Jordan, where she assisted with developing planning strategies for communities in Jordan and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Richard joined Bousfields Inc. in December 2018 as an Urban Designer. Prior to joining Bousfields, he worked on numerous community planning, urban design and landscape architectural projects in Canada, the U.S., Middle East and Asia. Richard has experience in master planning and visioning, design development, site plan design, design brief preparation and schematic/detailed level design of landscape architectural projects. He also provides expertise in illustrative and graphic communication with respect to presentation drawings and documents. At Bousfields, Richard’s responsibilities include preparation of planning and urban design rationales related to proposed developments, conducting built form analyses and assisting in the preparation of planning and urban design evidence for LPAT hearings.

Ryan is a recent graduate from the University of Toronto, having graduated this past spring with a Master of Science in Planning. During this time, his research specialized in land use and development related issues, with particular focus on the challenges of developing suburban downtowns in the Greater Golden Horseshoe.

Prior to joining Bousfields, Ryan worked for over four years at a boutique retail market consulting firm based in Toronto. In this role, Ryan worked on several retail market studies and commercial needs assessments for projects of varying sizes across Canada. He was most recently involved in the City of Vaughan’s current Official Plan Review, through work on a background paper pertaining to the City’s commercial land use structure.

Ryan has a strong passion for progressive city building and the re-utilization of existing sites. He is currently a student member of both OPPI and CIP, with the goal of working towards full membership.

Simran joined Bousfields in September 2018 as a Co-op Student while completing his Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree in Planning at the University of Waterloo, specializing in Land Development. He joined Bousfields as a full-time Urban Planner in June 2020 after graduating with honours. Prior to joining Bousfields, he helped solicitors advance complex proposals through the development approvals and appeals process while working for the planning and municipal group of a corporate law firm. He also authored staff reports, facilitated public meetings and presented at Committee of Adjustment hearings while working for the planning department of a growing municipality. Simran’s experience working on proposals from both a municipal and private landowner standpoint make him well suited to navigating the approvals process.

Simran is now involved in a wide range of projects throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. His responsibilities at Bousfields include the preparation of planning rationale reports as well as associated reports and studies for Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment and Minor Variance applications. He also assists with the preparation of draft zoning by-laws, site-specific due diligence packages, and highest and best use reports.
